HS 418 Introduction to Digital Media
“A very useful course that provided the knowledge needed to use essential digital graphic programs for landscape design professionals”
This course is about exploring digital graphics through the design process. The course introduces landscape design students to digital representational tools used to communicate design ideas for small scale landscape design projects. Students are introduced to techniques used in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Sketch-Up modeling programs. Digital representation is used to develop a variety of images necessary to explore and communicate design intentions. The three key concepts addressed in this course are introducing the digital design process, exploring basic digital media techniques, and helping make connections with hand and digital applications culminating in a well–crafted set of illustrative drawings.
