A gathering space and pedestrian access to the Rocky Branch Creek

HS357, Spring 2012 – A gathering space and pedestrian access to the Rocky Branch Creek behind the Carmichael Gym at NCSU was developed in collaboration with Barbara Doll, a civil engineer and Water Quality Specialist with NC Sea Grant. Students incorporated the improvement of the pedestrian access to the stream from the adjacent path systems. A primary goal of the design was to improve stormwater conditions and provide a place for people to interact with the stream. Student designs are being used as a fundraising tool.
